If you’re doing the normal P90X, prepare to structure your life around it. Most of the workouts are an hour long, and the yoga one is over ninety minutes if I recall correctly. There’s an option for plyometrics, but if you’re starting from anywhere close to a beginner level forget about it – I ran cross country in high school and am former law enforcement and I couldn’t come close to keeping up. I didn’t follow the diet plan, as I just picked up the videos secondhand. I ended up getting frustrated with it because it was so intensive in pullups and other upper body isolation – the balance of my weight and strength is in my legs, and I had to accommodate myself to the point of frustration. It’s got value if you’re an “ideal candidate” for it – but honestly, if you’re starting from scratch, I think there are better options.
