Virtual Cowes – 31 July to 7 August 2021

Watch racing via the 'net This year, races during Cowes Week will be available to watch via the internet as part of a Government project to trial innovative use of 5G. 50 boats will have 360 degree high definition cameras fitted, and each camera will beam back high definition pictures of the new Cowes Life TV, which will be shown on big screens around the town as well as online.

Antifouling Survey

An opportunity for all to contribute The International Maritime Organisation, a specialised agency of the United Nations which is responsible for regulating shipping, is asking for information from yacht owners to contribute to a worldwide project to address the spread of aquatic invasive species. Respondents will be asked about their location, what kind of anti-fouling paint or system they use, where they moor and winter their boats, preference for cleaning, and the challenges they face when antifouling their vessels.
