RNSA – the future

Please have a look in the Members Forum at the Project Adventure page, where you will find a new topic: the RNSA Vision for 2020. This is a DRAFT paper with some ideas about how we might take forward our Association as we approach our 80th Anniversary. I would really welcome some feedback on the ideas here, from right across the Membership.

Jolly Jack Tar needs help.

Jolly Jack Tar and the Offshore team's events calendar for the first half of 2015 has been released. Urgent help is needed to help get the J109 ready for this exciting programme. Jolly Jack Tar's entry for the Fastnet was submitted yesterday. This makes the forthcoming sailing season seem even closer.

Winner of December facebook photographic competition!

Clive Woodman's photo of Cosmic Dancer, pipped Joanna Grierson's lovely photo of the Vilaine, by one 'like' to be the background picture for RNSA's facebook page! RNSA has not had anything submitted yet for January. Please could Members scour their archives for January's pictures? Many thanks to Joanna Grierson for submitting the first entry to RNSA's facebook photographic competition.

Help required for Topper winter series

Richard Stevens is the Race Officer for the Toppers at Portland on the weekend of 7/8 February, and is looking for assistance. Richard will be using his boat, Opus, as committee boat at one end of the line, and would be grateful for assistance on board. He is also seeking another boat to mark the other end of the line.

Tidal Diamond 430 – AGM, Club Duties, Harbour Marks, Diary Dates

Tidal Diamond No. 430

Tudor Annual General Meeting – Sunday 11th January @ 14:00

Just a reminder that the AGM is this coming Sunday.

Richard Gunn
Commodore

Club Duties completed during 2014

Would members who have completed club duties during 2014 please let me have a signed Club Duty record as soon as possible. This can be left at the club in the mail box inside the main clubroom, or scan and email to me. This is needed now as Jan and I need to prepare membership renewal invoices soon after the AGM.

Members who complete duties on a regular rota basis (bar, galley, sailing etc) need not present a duty record as details will be confirmed by the relevant committee lead.

Many thanks

Mo Clark
Hon Secretary

Harbour Marks

The Harbourmaster has confirmed that when the previously unnamed green buoy returns to position (the one marked “No name” on our charts), it will be named WEST SWORD.
