Last call for Cruiser Recovery weekend Patrol Boat training

We currently have ten people trained in the cruiser specific Patrol Boat handling though it would be nice to have a few more on the roster for the relaunch weekend. If you have already got the Tudor PB1 or PB2 and would like to be trained in towing and shallow water operating, Phil will be available to run another training session on the weekend of 1st and 2nd April in the afternoons. If you are interested, please drop me an email with times which you can or can’t do and I will do my best to schedule something sensible with Phil over that weekend.

To all Prizewinners

Firstly, apologies once again for the fact that the glass plaques were not available for prizegiving on Friday evening. It didn’t seem to dampen the enthusiasm of those who turned up to enjoy the prizegiving meal and awards. However, the plaques are now in the Race box (while the club is used for an event) and, from next Friday, will be in the main club room ready for collection.

Gig Rowing

This coming Saturday 25th March the Gig will be on the water for an Easy Rowing session at 1000hrs. These sessions are open to all club members and will only last approx. 30 minutes on the water. They are for a bit of nautical fun. Kit needed: A buoyancy aid of some sort, wet boots or wellies, gloves and a windcheater over some layers. If possible let me know by email if you are “in” but if you cannot decide until the day, just turn up and I am sure we will fit you in.

Any members who have tried the Gig and would like to engage in a regular weekly row please email me and I will put your name on our core regulars email group.
