Novice and Endeavour Trophies Races
This Saturday are the Novice and Endeavour Trophy races starting at 1:30pm. The first race will be for the Novice Trophy and the second race, which will start after everyone has finished the first race, will be for the Endeavour trophy. As this is the last 2 races of the main sailing season before the start of our winter series, please do consider taking part even if you are not eligible for either of the trophies. Also as an added bonus we will launching from our new slipway making life easier for rigging, launching and recovering.
We still need a patrol boat helm for this event to go ahead so if you are trained up and available please sign up via Dutyman.

Autumn / Winter Schedule for Rowing
Hi everyone,
Yes, we really do row all year round
Some of us are hardier than others. Some of us embrace our woolly hats and aquatherm socks, others ask if they can have a hot chocolate at break time. But, we’re out there, and you can be too.
The schedule for rowing during the Autumn / Winter is now available in the useful documents section of the website and the calendar will continue to be updated.
We also plan to add more leisurely rows headed by our experienced rowers to help keep everyone out on the water. These will be added by the end of October.
Naturally all rows are subject to a weather assessment and rowing as the evenings grow darker requires extra precautions which are all listed in the useful documents section.
If you’re interested in joining us to row just get in touch with me. If you’re new to rowing there will be some Saturday morning sessions to help you build confidence. Again, just get in touch and I can help you book a seat.
As the race nights aren’t possible in the dark, we will be planning some fun events before Christmas. Everyone is welcome to those even if it’s just to help prop up the bar afterwards. Keep an eye on the calendar and here in TD.

Waiting for the Tide
I’ll keep it simple this week and just point you to the two attached photos of the current state of the clubhouse compound and the landward side of the slip work, as of this afternoon.
As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address, it is always nice to hear from members. Any ideas of things to include in the Tidal Diamonds would be most welcome.
Let’s be careful out there.
