Berthing Arrangements and Lift- Outs Calling all RNSA(P) mooring holders, 1. The end of the season is fast approaching and our illustrious Bosun, John Kilian, (JK) is formulating his winter berthing plan and is therefore keen to know owners intentions especially if lifting out for the winter. So please let him know if you are lifting out and when so the berth can be utilized when the swinging moorings are cleared.

Ordering of food for Friendly Fridays and other events

From this point on we are asking people to pre-book food on web collect rather than just turn up on the night or at the event. In future if you wait until the night you are likely to be disappointed. Our thinking behind this was to reduce waste, cut down on odd bits of food in the freezer and to make it easier for those cooking on the night to know numbers to cater for.

Upcoming Events

  • 21st September is the next Friendly Friday food when Angela and Peter Horlock are making veggie or chicken or chicken and prawn Cook Island curry. Please order on web collect by 5pm Thurs. There is unlikely to be much spare food on the night.
  • 29th September The Phony Stones are playing for a charity event in aid of Action for Children. Tickets are £12.50 including a meal of meat or veggie cottage pie. Last opportunity to buy tickets from Sharon or Alison Emery is Friday 21st September either in person at the club or by calling 07748 955485 (Sharon) or 07760100279 (Alison). This is a private charity event supported by the club but tickets are not available through web collect.
  • 6th October The Barn Dance come along and join in the fun but where comfy shoes as you’ll be dancing the night away. Tickets are £15 including a meal of chicken or vegetable curry. Tickets available from web collect up to and including Friday 21st September.

Volunteers needed

A volunteer is urgently needed for:-

  • Bar Friday 21st September – 3hrs to support Friendly Friday food of Cook Island curry.

Volunteers are also needed for-

  • Galley 5th October – 2 volunteers to do Friendly Friday Food

Please step forward and support your club. Your help would be very much appreciated.

Working Party

We will be holding a working party on 6th October starting at 10am. There will be a number of jobs ranging From weeding to shed building. These jobs will be allocated on a first come first served basis. All I ask is that if you feel confident to take on some of the more technical jobs, you do so. Could members who intend to help out, bring down gardening gloves and any tools they feel might be of use. A confirmed job list will be circulated nearer the time. Any work you do undertake will count towards your club maintenance hours. Even if you have done your quota, any help will be greatly appreciated as this will be of benefit to all members. On the day there will also be lunch available from the galley. A confirmed lunch menu will be circulated at a later date.

If you are requiring more information then please don’t hesitate to drop me an email.
