Social Events Update

Friendly Friday Race Night – Friday 29th July

Only two race nights left for the summer season. Please join us on the 29th. It’s the usual format where we mix the teams up and race around the Broom buoy and back. This month we’re delighted to be welcoming the rowers from the Coastal Rowing Academy that took part in the 24 hour row, and also members of Dell Quay Sailing Club. Dell Quay have recently added coastal rowing to their activities and we’re delighted to host them and let them try out our gigs.

If you want to row please arrive in time for the briefing at 6.15pm. Rowing not essential though, everyone welcome for a fun summer evening.

We will be serving mac n cheese, with or without bacon, garlic bread and salad, please prebook if you would like food, thank you

Games Night – Friday 5th August

Bring your favourite games with you or come along and join in some team games.

We will be serving cheesy nachos with guacamole, salsa and sour cream if you fancy a snack!

Come along for a bit of light hearted enjoyment

Please don’t make me play solitaire!

Tudor Challenge – Saturday 13th August

TSC will be hosting our first rowing regatta and we are hoping the event will be a huge success, but we can’t do that without your help!

If you need to get those duty hours completed, well this could be the event for you. You could nearly get all them done in the one day if you wished to!

We are looking for people to run the bbq, help in the galley or behind the bar.

A video link that may be of interest this week. I was sent a Facebook link, but with a bit of digging I’ve found a YouTube link which may be easier to watch for those not using Facebook. It is a piece about the Blue Marine Foundation project to restore the native oyster population in the Solent, and covers the work they are doing in Langstone.
