NL75 – A Personal Journey
Mark Heane, one of our members travelled to Normandy for the commemorations of 75th anniversary of D-Day. This is a short summary of his trip out.
Saturday at 2230 hrs, I departed Chatham maritime Marina, bound for Oustreham in France, on Fidelio, my 29 foot Seamaster yacht. A good friend, David McMillan, a very experienced seaman and sail training ship instructor joined me as crew.

Eddystone Pursuit 2019
Simon Mace who is the son of our branch captain, is the Operations Manager of Horizons Children's Sailing Charity, which provides opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people with special needs in the Plymouth area to learn to sail. New Lowestoft-built ships boat is launched for Excelsior
Monday 08 July saw the official launch of the Excelsior Trust’s new traditional ships’ boat at the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club Marina, the boat having been built by students at Lowestoft’s International Boatbuilding Training College (IBTC).
