QHM LNTMs – Please note recent LNTM Nos 40/20 and 43/20 – more details are available on QHM website:
40/20 – Ballast Pile, Port Hand Lateral Mark located on the western side of the main channel just inside Portsmouth Harbour, is to be replaced with a larger 3-legged pile structure.

Work to be conducted on Ballast Pile You might have picked upon this already due to subscribing to the QHM Portsmouth Local Notice to Mariners and other safety information.
As of Monday work will commence in the replacement of Ballast Pile. Some of you might have noticed that the Pile has a ‘Wobble’ at certain states of the tide.
