Asymmetric Training Day – Saturday 14th March

Tudor SC and the Vago Class Association have organised an Asymmetric Training day at the club on Saturday 14th March. The training is being provided by RYA Coach, Ed Deacon, and is aimed at sailors who want to learn more about asymmetric sailing, rig tuning and trapezing. If you sail an asymmetric class, then this is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your technique – so if you sail one of the following classes, then this training is aimed at you:

29ER, BUZZ, ISO, Laser 2000, LASER 3000, LASER 4000, LASER STRATOS, LASER VAGO XD, RS 200, RS 400, RS 500, RS FEVA XL, RS VISION

There will be a mixture of shore and water based activities throughout the day, kicking off with breakfast at 09:30 and the first shore based session at 10:00.

If you do not own an asymmetric boat, you are more than welcome to come along anyway and go for a test sail in one of 2 Laser Vago’s available during the day.

Breakfast, Lunch and Hot Drinks will be available at £8 per person.

We have 4/5 visiting boats from the Vago Class Association coming along – so please give them a warm TSC welcome. Many visiting Vago sailors will be staying overnight and we intend to put on some ‘Free Sailing’ on the Sunday, perhaps with some fun short course races – so whatever your class, please feel free to come down on Sunday 15th March and join in.

Please email Hannah Barnes if you would like to come along, so we have an idea on numbers. rearcommodore

LHRW Breakfast Galley – Volunteer Required (Sunday 3rd May)

The club is looking for a volunteer to cover a breakfast galley duty on Sunday 3rd May 8.00-10.30 please. This will involve providing bacon rolls, sausage rolls so there is no great cooking experience required! Previous galley experience is not necessarily required.

This will count as 1 duty towards your club maintenance.

If you are registered on DutyMan then you can volunteer for this online.

If you can volunteer please contact me asap so I can confirm to the sailing committee the galley will be open that day.

Thanks
