Wine Committee

Hi Everyone

I would like to start by saying a very big THANK YOU to Brian Johnson who has for the last 100 years been helping out in the club and most recently behind the bar. THANK YOU for your tireless help and support.

I am looking for someone to join the wine committee. This person does not need to know about wine. However they do need to be free for 1-11/2 hours every 3 weeks to flush the beer pipes out at the club.

You will join an elite group of three who on a rota flush out the beer pipes at a time of your choosing.

Full training will be given.

If this position suits you please get in touch. wilsontranter or 02392 381962 after 17.00 please.

Thank you

Mark Tranter
Bar Manager

PLSA Representative

Brian Tansom, who has been our PLSA representative for many years now, has indicated that he would like to see if someone else would like to take over the position.

Being the club representative on the PLSA (Portsmouth and Langstone Sailing Association) involves attending 5 PLSA meetings a year, plus the AGM; these are on Tuesday evenings at ECA. Being the club PLSA representative also gets you a seat on the Langstone Harbour Advisory Committee, which meets 5 times a year on Thursday afternoons at Havant Civic Centre.

As the PLSA representative, you would be expected to attend these meetings and write a short report for each edition of Ebb & Flow.

This position would be deemed to fulfil club duty in full.

For further details, please contact me. Applications are to be submitted to the Hon. Secretary, Jan Sobey (secretary), by Friday 17th April.

Richard Gunn
Commodore
