Additional Sunset Races

Following on from last week’s Tidal Diamond, I am pleased to announce that we have a couple of extra races that we plan on running. The races will form part of the sunset race series and be held on Wednesday 5th May and Wednesday 2nd June, both will have a start time of 19:30. Normally we would not hold races on a Wednesday evening and are only doing so on the basis that the cadets are not able to run at the moment. If the cadets do start up again before these races, then the new race dates will have to be cancelled.

Waiting for the Tide

With some boats now launched, and more launching soon, I will pass on a quick message to those afloat to check their boats as Muffin broke here mooring on Sunday night. It is probably also worth repeating an earlier Webcollect email message to check your moorings in comfortable time before launching to allow for repair / replacement work as some have been reported missing when checked.

As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address if you feeling isolated and cut off from the world. It is always nice to hear from members, and any ideas of things to include in the Tidal Diamonds would be most welcome.

Stay safe.

HSSC Weekly Update Thursday 1st April 2021

From the Club Sec. Ladies and Gentlemen, WELCOME BACK! It has been good to see members back to the marina and into FB3 over the past week. The takeaway service in the Clubhouse has been popular and has been keeping John and Melissa busy. In the Marina, Stewart, Robert and Lewis have done a cracking job getting through the lift and launches with good tides; we have a challenging programme ahead balancing the needs of members, availability of cradles and the tides.
