Saturday Series

With the latest restart documents from the Exec Committee, we are now in a position to add more dinghy races to the calendar. As such we have now been able to add 2 race days for the Saturday series. To save confusion and reshuffling the calendar, the first race day for the Saturday series will be Sunday 16th May. The plan is to run 2 races back-to-back starting from the committee boat Bruce on its mooring. If you are planning to take part, please give yourself enough time to launch and sail down to Bruce’s mooring. For this and further dinghy races to go ahead, we need trained up patrol boat crew and race officers to sign up via Dutyman.

Membership Survey

Thank you to all those who have already filled in the membership survey. However less than 25% of the membership has responded. The survey is only short and will help shape the future of the club. Please take a few minutes of your time to fill it in.

The survey closes on Friday evening.

Women on the Water

An opportunity for Tudor ladies to sail, kayak, row or windsurf in company.

Make some ‘me time’ on Thursday evenings to come and join a group of like-minded ladies having fun on the water in our beautiful harbour. We have already had over 15 different ladies on the water this season including several new and prospective members

Meet at 1730 for launching at 1815, this week the group will be co-ordinated by Helen as I have the holy grail of appointments – a hair cut!!!

Contact wow with your mobile number to be added to our WhatsApp group.

Kayak Activities 2021 – First event soon!

The kayak calendar for 2021 is now online. The first event is a Sunset Paddle on Friday 28th May. I hope that as many of you as possible can come along and enjoy a gentle (fingers crossed) paddle in the company of others. If all is well then we should be able to follow it up with a drink in the club bar.

Please sign up for these events via Webcollect.

I will set up a WhatsApp group, look out from an email from Webcollect with the details.

Waiting for the Tide

I think with that lot to read through I will, for the first time in a long while, just leave the usual sign off here…

As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address if you feeling isolated and cut off from the world. It is always nice to hear from members, and any ideas of things to include in the Tidal Diamonds would be most welcome.

Stay safe.
