The Tremontana Screams!!!

When will it stop?? The Tremontana continued to assert its authority for the final day of the 2013 Defi-Wind, as the RNSA posted respectable scores across the board and proved they can compete with the rest of Europe. The final day of the Defi promised to be no less exciting than the two previous days with a slightly stronger wind forecast.

Worbarrow and Mupe Rally

Two intrepid boats defy weather to overnight at Mupe Bay Following the Cocktail Party on the evening of 3 May, during which tales of the weather forecast for the following day got longer as the evening wore on, two boats - Heatwave and Touchdown - headed off on the Saturday to Worbarrow. As well as the report accessed on the link below, a video is up on YouTube at http://youtu.

The Tremontana Howls!!

The RNSA Windies hook in and hang on as the Tremontana shows what it is really made of and blasts across the course all day! Overnight it appeared to many that the wind had abated somewhat - how wrong we all were. By the time the brief for the first race was over there was a pretty consistent 30kts of wind blowing the length of the course so off we cracked on for a full 2 laps and 40km worth of racing.

The Tremontana Blows!

The RNSA team got amongst the action as the 2013 Defi Wind Endurance RAce got underway and the Tremontana Wind arrived in full force! After keeping 800 windsurfers waiting for a day the Tramontana wind turned up today to provide a fantastic day's racing at the Defi wind. It was pretty obvious from first thing that this was going to be a challenging day with the wind already howling across the rigging area.

RNSA(P) Early Summer Series Race 5

Brisk breeze reduces fleet but makes for exciting sailing With the wind blowing 25+ kts the fleet that assembled for the fifth race of the Early Summer Series was somewhat reduced. Dead low water springs did not help making for a much longer passage to the starting area and resulted in a couple of boats making very late starts.

WANTED ! GALLEY SLAVES !

Do you need some extra maintenance hours ? Can you lend a hand in the galley over the LHRW weekend? Even if you are not galley trained we can do with your help.

The galley can only open over the weekend if we have sufficient people to cover the expected opening hours.

The social committee members have generously committed to covering most of the duties but we still have several duties that we need people to assist with.

If you can assist please contact Steve Francis as below.

Without your assistance the galley may not be able to open at certain times over the weekend.

Also, if anyone attending the LHRW can assist by bringing in cakes for Monday afternoon that would also be very much appreciated. Again, if you could let Steve Francis know if you can assist.

Many thanks,

Steve Francis
