Portland Race 2 Series 2

Rain but lovely breeze Rain for the first time on Friday evenings this year saw foulies in use, but with a steady breeze it made for a wonderful sail. Four turned out, and with James’ comment on the radio before the start that they were tweaking up Sunshine and had serious Wednesday evening crew on board, we suspected a keener level of competition than previously.

RNSA Late Summer Series Race 9

. An excellent evening for the final race of the ‘Late Summer Series’ with a blow of between 16 and 20 knots from the southwest. An interesting and challenging course was set with a beat to Craftinsure leaving Bob Kemp to starboard. Two yachts tacked after Darling Associates preferring the Island side of the Solent, the rest of the fleet preferred the Stokes Bay side - all after a tidal advantage.
