Jolly Jack Tar – Feb 18 Maintenance Weekends

Jolly Jack Tar will be fettled back into racing trim during 2 weekends in Feb. The Offshore Squad will come together for 2 weekends of maintenance in February to get Jolly Jack Tar back into racing trim. Anyone who has raced on the boat last season or is planning on racing this season is strongly encouraged to lend a hand! Our Rear Commodore, Mark Durkan takes a keen interest in those who take the time to help maintain the boat and makes sure that they are recognised when putting together the teams for some of our more glamorous events! Weekend 1 - Fri 16 / Sat 17 / Sun 18 Feb.

Tidal Diamond 607 – Happy New Year, Local Notices to Mariners

Tidal Diamond No. 607

Happy New Year

The New Year is only just getting going, so I will take the opportunity to wish everyone a good 2018 sailing season and add a reminder of two events coming up:

  • Interclub Darts, 2nd Round, which will be held at Locks SC on Friday 12th at 1930hrs – do come along and support Tudor.
  • The AGM is on Sunday 14th at 1400hrs – please attend, and if you are able to help out on a committee remember to let somebody know so they can nominate you.

Local Notices to Mariners

The beginning of the year is probably a good time to remind everyone that Langstone Harbour Board has Local Notices to Mariners on their website at: http://www.langstoneharbour.org.uk/boating-notices.php. You can also sign up to receive these by email using the link on that page.

There are two of particular interest in force at the moment (assuming you are on the water in this weather!):
