Dinghy Captain Role Vacancy

Now that the sailing calendar has been finalised for 2022 I will be stepping down as the Dinghy Captain. To keep the dinghy section going we need a dinghy sailor to come forward and take on the role of Dinghy Captain. The description for the role of dinghy Captain is attached and if you have any questions then please feel free to email me at sailingsec. Taking on a committee role including Dinghy Captain will fulfil your club duty hours.

Waiting for the Tide

A quick reminder to close out this weeks Tidal Diamond that membership renewals are due by the end of the month, so without a leap year that’s the 28th February, or Monday week, or just under 2 weeks. If you are having trouble (not recieved the email or WebCollect issues) let us know so it can be sorted out in good time.

As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address, it is always nice to hear from members. Any ideas of things to include in the Tidal Diamonds would be most welcome.

Let’s be careful out there.

Inter Club Darts Tournament

Huge congratulations to the darts team on their win on Friday and a big thank you to all that came to the club to support them! Around 70 people came along, it was nice to see the club so full. Also a big thank you to the lovely people that helped with the buffet and on the bar, it’s always appreciated.

If you fancy helping out at one of the club’s events, we do offer galley training, the next one will be on 17th February. Please give me a shout if you would like to come along.

Waiting for the Tide

It is great to see the social calendar getting off to a great start (see above, and below.. and the website!). Another event coming up (not Tudor) that may be of interest is an online talk on Thursday (short notice, but I’ve only just seen details):

“Join us as we take a deep dive into the importance of Marine Conservation Zones in the Solent and beyond.” – for more details and to book (it is free) visit: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-deep-dive-into-marine-conservation-zones-tickets-232115673227?aff=eand.

.. and before I sign off with my usual paragrah, just a quick noted that the renewals have just gone out and need completing by the end of the month. If you haven’t received your email check your spam folder and if it isn’t there let the club know.

As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address, it is always nice to hear from members. Any ideas of things to include in the Tidal Diamonds would be most welcome.
