Royal Institute of Navigation Fly Sail Weekend – 23/06/2018 –
Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June 2018 This to remind that the RIN Small Craft and Air sections are running their flying and sailing weekend.
Based on Hornet SSC and LOS airfield, it will comprise of the flyers taking sailors for a flight on SAT PM, with the roles reversed on Sunday morning.

Solent Forts
Would you like one ?? The Solent Forts (No Man's, Spitbank and Horse Sand) are up for sale for £11 million.
Businessman Mike Clare bought the Solent landmarks several years ago, and has been renovating the structures and turning No Man's and Spitbank into hotels.
Horse Sand Ford is currently being converted into a museum.

Jolly Jack Tar Portsmouth Champion
Jolly Jack Tar(JJT) this weekend has become the Portsmouth regatta J109 Champion. With a mixed Royal Navy crew, skippered by CPO Joe Henry, JJT competed in a field of 9 J109's in the Eastern Solent. Over the weekend in varying conditions, the series competed in 5 races, JJT won 4 and came second in the other.
