End of Season Dinghy Meeting

There will be an end of season Dinghy Meeting at the club this Sunday at 3pm. This immediately follows the first of the Frostbite Series races (which starts at 1pm).

It would be great to see as many dinghy members there to discuss the season just gone and to hear your thoughts about what you would like to see in the calendar next season.

We will also be carrying out the election of the new Dinghy Captain for which I am still waiting for any nominations.

Please note that I have a member who is willing to take on the task of putting together the sailing calendar so this task is already covered though I am sure this individual would be grateful for some assistance. Also, if we don’t have a Dinghy Captain then please note that this might result in a reduction in some of the dinghy activity. Therefore, if you want to ensure that next season continues with the same strong programme of racing and cruising, please consider whether you are willing to step into the role of Dinghy Captain.

Great Weekend

This weekend brought the cruising season of 2018 to a close with all but a few cruisers being lifted into the Club Compound for the Winter lay-up. Cruiser Members can be pleased with the teamwork demonstrated over this weekend of glorious weather. It was a slick and professional operation.

I’m sure owners will join me to specially thank those Members who helped out who are not owners themselves. Their contribution is greatly appreciated supporting the weekend operation. Thank You. [Most definitely seconded – TD Editor]
