Phase 4 of the North Portsea Island Coastal Flood Defence Scheme

PUBLIC EXHIBITION EVENTS THIS WEEK

The team behind the scheme will be holding a series of public events to provide further information on the next phase of the project. https://www.escp.org.uk/news/eastern-road

  • Wednesday 7 November, 13.00-19.00: Andrew Simpson Watersports Centre, Eastern Road
  • Thursday 8 November, 13.00-19.00: Innlodge, Burrfields Road

Forthcoming Social Events

Friday 9th November (THIS FRIDAY!) – Christma Fair

Tudor SC will be hosting a Christmas shopping evening please come along and support local businesses.

Friday 30th November – Evening Speaker & Paella

Evening speaker from the Hampshire and IOW Wildlife trust about the wildlife in and around Langstone Harbour.

Friday 7th December – Quiz, food TBC

Friday 14th December – Christmas Carols

Sunday 16th December – Christmas lunch, adults £14, children under 12 £5.

Tickets only available in advance via Webcollect. The event always sells out so don’t leave it too late to book!

Monday 31st December – New Years Eve Party (TBC)

If you are interested in having a new years eve party at the club please contact Wendy (socialsec) or Bill Jones, we have a club member who would love to DJ for a great party but need to know that club members want to come.

Cruisers in the club compound over winter

As it is a specified condition of our club insurance would all members with Cruising Yachts stored in the club compound over winter please ensure that they have removed both Genoas and Mainsails from their boats.

Maintenance Jobs

Before winter truly sets in I have a couple of maintenance jobs that require a bit of woodworking skill that need completing. They are to make a wooden frame for a concrete base to be poured. And to build a new enclosure for one of the compound water taps. If you are interested and want to volunteer then please drop me an email so I can go through the task in more detail.

Sailing Duties

A volunteer are needed for Saturday 10th November Race officer please volunteer on Dutyman.

If you wish to swap a later duty for this one then please contact me and I will do it in Dutyman.

Looking in Dutyman there are a couple of swaps requested for the 23rd December, if you can help please agree the swap with the relevant member and then let me know so I can record it in Dutyman.
