Fishing gear Entanglements and how to report them.

A concern to boaters for many years and it has been on the RYA’s agenda for just as long. This is a big problem in the South West. We’ve all been there and seen a badly marked pot, missed it by a foot and thought thank god for that. Some however haven’t been so lucky. The Plymouth Branch of the RNSA is keen for our members to actively report these issues a handy link is available below.

Another OnBoard sign up – Southampton Sailing Club

Southampton Sailing Club, based on the banks of the River Itchen, is on course to inspire the next generation of sailors after joining RYA OnBoard - the national grassroots scheme which makes it easier and cheaper to get more young people on the water.

Dartmoor winter walk

Last winter walk before the sailing season. 24th Mar 2019 - Dartmoor - Fernworthy Reservoir - meet at the Main Car Park(one with Toilet block) 1000 packed lunch required. FREE Pint in the Warren House Inn on the returning route to Plymouth. So I’m not going to lie it’s a hard place to find however roads do lead to it, I promise it’s a beautiful spot in the middle of the moor.
