It cannot have been just our crew as the rain hissed down and the wind shrieked through the rigging asking of each other ''we do this for fun right?'' However just as in that old seventies song 'Hello mudder, hello fadder' cape Grenada brightened considerably when the rain stopped and the wind eased to a working 15 knots.

Novice and Endeavour Trophies Race

This Sunday is the last dinghy race event before the start of the winter series. We will be holding 2 short course races for the Novice and Endeavour trophies. The races will be starting at the club house line with the second race starting as soon as possible after the first race. Even if you think you are not eligible for either of the trophies why not come down for some end of season racing.

Cruiser Recovery / Launch Guide

This guide should help prepare those new to the cruiser recovery and launch operation and act as a helpful reminder to those of you who have been involved before. Please let me know if the document works for you or whether there are any changes you’d like to see.

Note that we still need you to come to the briefing at the club as it will allow you to hear the details around this year’s recovery plans – timings, tides, parking etc, but hopefully you’ll also find the guide useful.

LHB Advisory Committee Open Forum

The Langstone Harbour Board Advisory Committee represents the interests of the harbour users and is made up of representatives from environmental, commercial and leisure based organisations (Tudor being represented through membership of the Portsmouth & Langstone Sailing Association).

Each year we hold an Open Forum event to engage the wider stakeholder community. This year we are holding the event at Tudor on Thursday 24th October and have speakers talking about “Planned Coastal Defence Works at Kendall’s Wharf and Broadmash”, “The work of Border Force Intel Officers locally and nationally” and Final Straw Solent talking about their work to tackle litter.

Attendance is open to all, although we do ask that you contact the Langstone Harbour Board to let us know you wish to attend so that we have an idea of numbers. See the attached flyer for details.
