RNSA(P) Wednesday Autumn Series race 9

The season finished with a whimper rather than a bang! With much still to play for in the final Wednesday evening race of the 2019 season the forecast initially gave room for optimism that a classic race might end the season, alas it was not to be. A very fickle breeze of 3-5 knots greeted the fleet at Gilkicker with the impression created that it would die further rather than increase.

Cruiser Recovery Briefing

A quick reminder that the Cruiser Recovery Briefing is tonight at 2000hrs. It is valuable for all cruiser owners coming out of the water at the weekend to attend, but particularly for those new to the recovery process as it covers important safety procedures as well as timings and other details to help things run smoothly.

As an aside, a date for your diary (which doesn’t quite make it onto the Diary Dates this week) is the Nominations Meeting at 1400hrs on Sunday 10th November.

Dinghy Section Meeting

Friday 25th October there will be an end of season dinghy meeting at 8pm. This is an opportunity to meet up and have a social chat about how the year has gone. It also will give you a chance to have your say on what dinghy events you want for next year. Whether that be you are happy with the events we put on or you want new events. The meeting will also give you a chance to vote on who you want to represent you as dinghy captain next year, whether that is me or someone else. If you cannot make it to the meeting but want something changed or mentioned, then please drop me an email.
