Portland Trophy awards

The Portland Trophy and two cash prizes are awarded for entertaining and informative cruising articles submitted by members during the season. This year there were five entries submitted, including a brief article published in Yachts and Yachting. The Portland Trophy was awarded to Ian & Kate Bowker for "Memory Lane & Wonderful Walks".

Boxing Day Race

The last race of the year is typically the Boxing Day Race. But as the majority of people will be busy with Christmas celebrations or are going away for the Christmas holidays, we would like to get anyone who is interested in either running or taking part in the racing themselves to email me. In your email if you can please let me know whether you want to participate in the race or help run it buy being race officer, patrol boat crew or patrol boat helm. Please only volunteer for the organising roles if you are suitably trained up. If there is not much interest then the event may not go ahead.
