Waiting for the Tide

To add to the WhatsApp groups for dinghies, rowing and women on the water, there is a cruiser one. A Webcollect email has been sent round with details, but I have now added it to the list in the somewhat inaccurately named Diary Dates below.

The group is for planning cruises and exchanging information about marinas, etc. A few useful recent items that may be of interest are:

  • Guernsey, Sark and Alderny are closed to visiting boats.
  • Jersey requires self isolating for 14 days, so in practical terms is also closed.
  • Seaview YC visitor moorings are closed for the rest of the season.
  • Chichester Conservancy visitor berths are open, but with a max. of two vessels rafting on moorings and no rafting on pontoons. There are no advance bookings. (*)

Things are constantly changing, so it is worth checking. Some marinas may be charging full rates but have facilities closed! To join the group email commodore<a href="mailto:commodore for more details. (* technically that last one was from the Chichester Conservancy Weekly Navigation Bulletin).

As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address if you feeling isolated and cut off from the world. It is always nice to hear from members, and any ideas of things to include in the Tidal Diamonds would be most welcome.

Stay safe.

Useful Links

I thought it worth continuing to include a few useful links here as a handy place to find them if you haven’t already got them bookmarked:

It is probably also worth noting:
