Thanks to All Who Assisted with the Cruiser Relaunching

I would just like to say a slightly belated big thank you to all of those who helped with relaunching cruisers over the last couple of months. A lot of members were involved, tractor drivers, banksmen, traffic controllers, general helpers etc. and I very much appreciate everyone who was involved. Thanks to you we managed to launch about half of our fleet, all of those who wanted to launch.

Return of Racing

The sailing committee are pleased to announce that dinghy racing will resume from the 1st August 2020.

The dinghy captain has created a calendar of events that will be published soon on the website. As a result we require members to come forward to volunteer for the race officer and patrol boat helm and crew roles using Dutyman. It is vital that we are able to fill all of these duties as without them no racing will be able to take place.

All duty volunteers and race participants are to read the Tudor Sailing Club – Restarting Dinghy Racing document on the website prior to traveling to the race as this will explain the revised procedures that have been put in place during Covid19 restrictions.

If you have any questions please contact the Dinghy Captain, Mark Swallow via email at dinghiestudorsailing.org.uk

Waiting for the Tide

I thought it worth a quick note this week that Langstone has a new Harbour Master. Nigel Jardine has retired after many years with the board, and Billy Johnson has joined us from Littlehampton. https://twitter.com/langstonehb/status/1285490372630720512

As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address if you feeling isolated and cut off from the world. It is always nice to hear from members, and any ideas of things to include in the Tidal Diamonds would be most welcome.

Stay safe.
