Dear Tudor
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for their interest in volunteering behind the bar, and for your continued support.
I have a number of events in the pipeline – details will be sent out ASAP.
Having listened to the feedback from the bar users, we have some exciting new drinks and snack options arriving soon:
– Bottled Ciders
– More choice of diet soft drinks
– Lemonade for mixers (instead of Sprite)
– Irving brewery ales (during events)
– Flavoured water
– BBQ Beef Brisket crisps
– Perridge Ale
During Friendly Fridays, I will also be doing 10% off lager, large bottles of wine and large Prosecco bottles.
I do, however, still need one or two more volunteers for bar training, and particularly in need of someone to run the bar this coming Sunday. I am able to give training tonight or tomorrow. Please reply to this, or text/call/WhatsApp 07464933423 if you’re interested.
Finally, some people may have been put off or u sure about the new restrictions for gatherings, so to clarify;
the new restrictions essentially plug a loophole, allowing groups of more than 6 people (not from the same household) to gather. The previous guidance was 6 people maximum, but in any case not more than 30 in total. This only applies to social gathering in houses, outside in parks etc, where social distancing cannot be maintained.
For us in the bar, it does change anything, except for making it even more important that everyone stays in their household groups, or a maximum of 6 people from different household.
During the time the bar has been open, I’ve not seen anything that would make me even slightly worried about COVID transmission risks.
That said, with cases on the rise, now is not the time to let standards slip, so let’s keep on sanitising!!!
Many thanks again for your continued support
