Compound Security

Following the recent compound break-in, the razor wire on the gates has been reinforced to try to prevent the same method of entry. However, several dinghies are parked far too close to the fence providing useful steps for would-be intruders.

As soon as we are able to reopen after lockdown, could I please ask all dinghy owners to ensure that their dinghies are moved away from the fence so that you cannot out a foot on the trailer/trolley from outside the fence?

Waiting for the Tide

So we are out the other side of another lockdown and there is a short amount of time to either get out on the water or do some odd jobs before Christmas, weather permitting (not to mention social distancing and tier 2 restrictions). Not a huge amount to add to this Tidal Diamond, but I will just note the AGM on the 10th January 2021. It hasn’t made it into the diary dates yet, but it is nearly there – just the Boxing Day race in between (subject to confirmation).

As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address if you feeling isolated and cut off from the world, even though this lockdown is slightly different things are far from normal. It is always nice to hear from members, and any ideas of things to include in the Tidal Diamonds would be most welcome.

Stay safe.
