I have been reminded by the Langstone Harbour Board that all mooring buoys are to be marked with the mooring number. Can all members please comply.

Cruiser Main Launch 12-13th April
As you are all aware this coming Saturday and Sunday we Launching the Cruisers.
Please attend the Briefing on Friday 11th we need as many as possible singing from the same script.
Main Points:
- Parking – Kendal’s have given us permission to use their car park at the top of the approach road, please use this as we need clear access in the event of an emergency.
- Check your engines will start prior to the weekend.
- Bring a life jacket, the ferry boat will not accept you if do not have one.
- Rig fore and aft lines for use by water babies.
- If you have a radio switch it on, switch to low power and channel M1 or 37.
- If you need crew speak to Linda when asked to prepare your boat for launch.
- Maintenance cannot be claimed for launch weekend.
- Please follow instructions if asked, we don’t shout orders to satisfy ourselves but to ensure a safe environment for all to work.
Safety first, do not wonder around once Hoist Tractor starts, meet in the club lounge where key personnel can allocate you a task.
Start 7.00am Sat 12th, first boats to ready for Launch at 7am.
26 boats not Launching on the weekend so the flow will stall at times whilst we lift boats out to access others.
Above all please be patient and offer your assistance to anyone who needs it.

Compound re-org
Compound re-org is imminent. I have looked around and as usual most of the ‘regular sailors’ have put this years plaques on their boats. Sadly that does leave a lot of other boats who, as yet, do not have a current sticker on. If tyres are left in one position they tend to go flat and generally degrade and I’m afraid this too has been the case with many of the trolley wheels. With all the winds and weather we have had this year a lot of the trolleys have lost their owners name labels, please ensure you put your name very clearly on the front of your trolley!
Please ensure your boat is not going to cause us problems during the compound re-org, check,
- It has this years plaques on
- It is easily movable
- It is clearly named (with the correct owners surname!)
- It is not full of water
We will also be clearing up the compound shortly and anything that is not named will be disposed of.
Please take any rubbish you generate home with you or simply pop it into the Household waste place – DO NOT LEAVE IT IN THE COMPOUND! It is simply not fair.
