Cruiser Update

Bank Holiday Weekend – Poole Harbour / Studland Bay
Assuming the forecast high winds have blown themselves out by Saturday morning, our plan is to leave our mooring fairly early to avoid the dinghies taking part in the Langstone race weekend. We will be heading down to Southsea Marina to top up fuel and water and then maybe dropping onto a spare deep water mooring to wait for the tide to turn west.

Depending on the weather, we will head straight for Studland for the night if possible, or otherwise into Poole harbour and anchor round the back of Brownsea Island somewhere for shelter if it is windy.

Sunday – Who knows – we might even pop round to Swanage if the weather is appropriate, otherwise we may just go ashore somewhere for a walk. As always, where we stop the night will depend on the wind / weather forecast – We may even drop back to the Solent.

1st & 2nd June – Lymington / Old Gaffers @ Yarmouth
We will be heading down to Lymington on the Friday afternoon to avoid the Round-The-Island race on the Saturday morning and most likely catching the little ferry across to Yarmouth for the Old Gaffers the next day. It’s a great day out with lots to do, see, eat and drink! Tides are good for leaving for home around lunch time on the Sunday.
