Second hand boat sales between UK and EU to cost more

Post Construction Assessment required Owners and brokers of second hand boats who want to sell between the UK and the EU will have to pay between £500-£5000 for a Post Construction Assessment. The vessel has to meet the obligations set out in either the Recreational Craft Directive in the EU or the Recreational Craft Regulations in the UK.

Red Diesel

Government U-turn welcomed Sailors in England, Wales and Scotland will still be able to use red diesel to propel their vessels, as announced in the 2021 budget. It will be banned in Northern Ireland to ensure that the UK meets international obligations under the Northern Ireland Protocol of the Withdrawal Agreement.
