Dinghy Team – Lake Garda Eurocup

The RN Dinghy Team safely arrive at Lake Garda for the RS Eurocup After a long trip through most of Europe and next to 24 hours on the road, the RN Dinghy Team arrived at Lake Garda in good order for the RS Eurocup. After unloading the trailer the team set about final preps to the boats before heading out on the Lake to get a feel for the conditions.

After 2 days of racing we have got a 1st a 2nd and a few mid fleet results, sitting in 5th overall with it all to play for today. 3 races and determination to improve our place overall. . The day started with a fair breeze that if continued would have lead to an extremely enjoyable evening race. However, that was not to be: by 1815 the wind had dropped to almost zero and the SOOD decided to delay the start in the hope that some wind would appear. The course was set: Darling Associates to Port, North Sturbridge to Starboard, Darling Associates to Starboard and finish with the first start at 1840 and the second start at 1850.
