RYA’s Push the Boat Out 2017 attracts over eighty people to Guernsey Sailing Trust
Eighty-six people of all ages and abilities jumped at the opportunity to get out on the water and discover a new sport when Guernsey Sailing Trust opened its doors on Sunday 21st May to invite the public to have a go at sailing.

Marina Works - The final MOD works on the Pontoon replacement will take place next week over Tues and Wed 13/14th Jun. Pedestrian access and utility services to Fieldhouse will not be available over both days - please plan accordingly. Should the works run over I will keep you informed.

OSTAR 17
Mervyn Wheatley has entered Tamarind for OSTAR 17 which starts from Plymouth on Monday 29 May. In 1956 Blondie Hasler became interested in the challenges of offshore singlehanded sailing – “one man, one boat, the ocean…”. Over the next few years he conceived of a transatlantic race against the prevailing winds and currents whose purpose was to develop the necessary seamanship, equipment and techniques.
