RNSA(P) Wednesday Autumn Series Race 1

A fine evening to commence the Autumn Series with the wind for once doing what was forecast. The turnout of 9 yachts to contest the series was commendable with congratulations to Kurketrekker for extracting herself from the mud of the marina at low water springs. The SOOD, Tinker T set a windward - leeward course with the beat to Mackley Van Oord against the tide; a boat speed testing leg rather than a tactical one, nonetheless several boats managed to overstand the mark whilst trying to evade the tide by closing the Island shore.

Combined Harbour Regatta

Please find attached a poster for the Combined Harbour regatta on 9th September.

Combined Regatta

This will incorporate the interclub race between PSC, FMB&SC and HSC and will be the official ‘Bart’s Bash’ for Portsmouth Harbour. If you could promote this within your Club I would be eternally grateful as it promises to be a great day.

As you will see from the poster, PSC have a band laid on with a hog roast, BBQ and loads of prizes for all classes in addition to half price real ale and discounts for lager drinkers and soft drinks.

Hopefully an event to remember so it would be great if Fareham were to join in and race and then come along to the social event afterwards.
