Section Captain Nominations

Unfortunately we have been unable to manage the process of getting section Captains voted in before the Nominations Meeting as is our normal practice. In order to manage this process electronically, I would like to invite anyone who would like to be considered as a section Captain to email me with their name before the end of Monday 6th November. Please note that you will need to have someone nominate you and have a seconder as well so please confirm who these two individual are when you email me. After 6th November, I will then send a Doodle Poll email to the Cruiser email list, the Dinghy email list and, in the absence of a Rowing email list, to the club membership. This Doodle Poll will invite you to cast your vote electronically after which we will announce the new section captains.

We currently have nominations as follows:

• Cruiser Captain – Richard Gunn
• Dinghy Captain – Richard Barnes
• Rowing Captain – Sandy Craig

If you would like to put your name forward for any of these positions, please email me with the name of your proposer and seconder.

Christmas Shopping Evening
This Friday (3rd November)

This is a fantastic opportunity to get ahead with your Christmas shopping in a relaxed and friendly environment, whilst supporting some fabulous local businesses. Shepherds butchers will be on hand in the galley with hot rolls and samples of their products plus mulled cider and mince pies. There will also be a raffle with prizes kindly donated by the businesses exhibiting.

Pie, Pint & Vinyl Night
Friday 17th November – 8pm

Come along and have a great pie, pint and bring your best two songs on vinyl to play. Pies available will be Steak & Ale or Chicken, Ham & Leek, they will be served with vegetables.

LAST DAY FOR TICKETS IS WEDNESDAY 15TH NOVEMBER. Please buy in advance to avoid disappointment, late tickets / extra tickets on the night will not be available:
