In my last update, at the end of October, I anticipated that a few tweaks to the exiting application for Registered Charity status would gain approval by the Charity Commission. Unfortunately, this proved not to be the case. The Charity Commission does not accept that RNSA as a charity can support both Serving and ex-Service people.

The 2018 Annual Dinner is at Hornet Services Sailing Club (HSSC), Gosport - 1930 for 2000, following the AGM and Prize Giving The Annual Dinner, BRNC in 2015, Hornet in 2016 and HMS EXCELLENT Senior Rates Mess last year, proved to be an extremely convivial social events and were unanimously given a big 'thumbs up' by all those who attended.

Ocean Safety are inviting yacht owners to familiarise themselves with their essential onboard safety equipment when the company opens its doors to customers at its Southampton depot on 3rd and 4th February 2018. Ocean Safety Glasgow and Plymouth will run a similar event on Saturday 3rd February. You are invited to bring along your liferafts, lifejackets, and other serviceable onboard safety equipment to be checked by Ocean Safety’s expert team.
