Cruiser Launch Briefing
Wednesday 4th April, 2000hrs
Please attend to be briefed on safety matters, start time, etc. to ensure the launch runs smoothly

Cruiser Launch Weekend

Please be aware that both the slipway and compounds are closed to all members this weekend. This is due to the cruiser lift in and movement of the tractor and hoist. For those who will be at the club for the lift in weekend, safety details will be covered at the Cruiser Lift in Safety Briefing on Wednesday at 2000hrs – please make every effort to attend.

Oars needed

Does anyone have a pair of oars that we could have for use with the Bosun’s Tender. They need to be approx 2.7 metres in length. So long as the wood is basically ‘sound’ condition is not too important.

Contact Linda or anyone on the Bosun committee.

Thank you,
Linda Vacher

Moving Dinghies

When moving somebody else’s dinghy or tender in the compound please ensure it is left, even temporarily, chocked as it was before it was moved. Boats in the compound should be supported to allow them to self drain making them easy to move either by the owner or by other members (e.g. for the post launch compound reorganisation). Significant quantities of water can be very heaving making dinghies difficult to move, putting strain on the hull and taking time to bail out.
