50th Anniversary of Lively Lady’s circumnavigation
50 years ago the return of Sir Alex Rose and Lively Lady caught the imagination of a 9 year old. Some years later we all have the opportunity to commemorate the skill and determination of Sir Alex with two events planned of Southsea this summer.
At the RNSA AGM it was said we you and others in the RNSA know about the impending 50th anniversary celebration plans for Lively Lady, in which Sir Alec Rose completed his circumnavigation on 4 July 1968.

Bradwell – Gateway to the East?
April sunshine sent the East Coasters into a flurry of activity- boats being launched, slipped and commissioned - Bradwell was the best fit to get us together for the May Bank Holiday (with apologies to Peter Sellers and the Residents of Bradwell). Once more we East Coasters glimpsed life in St Tropez (well perhaps not quite!).

Breezy conditions for the first RNSA(P) dinghy race of the season Thirteen plucky RN sailors descended upon a breezy Portsmouth for the Woodcock Trophy organised by RNSA(P) Dinghy Rep Lt Matt Irwin. The strong forecast didn’t deter the enthusiastic Bosun sailors who came from units across the Eastern Region including Portsmouth, HMS Collingwood and RNAS Yeovilton.
