Leadership Through The Atlantic- Vacancies For Afterguard

A JSASTC Challenge 67 will sail to and from The Falkland Islands returning via the Arctic. As ever we need to fill afterguard positions with suitably qualified personnel. I am the project officer for an Army expedition called Leadership through the Atlantic. Exercise Caribbean Endeavour Leg 3 27 October – 24 November 2007

EXERCISE CARIBBEAN ENDEAVOUR LEG3 is an ocean sailing AT expedition from Tenerife to Antigua via other Caribbean islands. Two volunteers are required to complete the crew. East Coast and Medway Branches join forces for cruise in Holland

In early June '07 two East Coast and two Medway boats met in Ijmuiden, Holland for a week’s cruise in company led by an East Coast member who keeps his boat in Monnickendam. The original plan to cruise in Holland had been suggested by the London Flotilla to mark their 70th Anniversary but unfortunately they had to drop out.

British Youth Sailing Recognition for Kent Schools Sailing Association

The Kent Sailing Schools Association (KSSA) was delighted to receive British Youth Sailing (BYS) Recognised Club status from the RYA at a presentation at Chipstead Sailing Club on 8 December.

Montagu Whaler under the RNSA burgee

Led by Steve Evans a group are re building a Montagu Whaler in Bristol. They are focusing on having her ready to sail and row in the Gulf du Morbihan, Brittany this coming May. The boat was once owned by Commander Bruen who had saved her when down in Devonport in the late 70’s and she was believed to have been built in Malta in 1936.
