Cold! How is this Spring I mused as with teeth chattering amidst a crew yawning competition we took the long low water route to Gilkicker. Things perked up a bit once we were in the starting area and contrary to forecasts were greeted by a just left of south breeze of around 8 knots. With a fast east going tide the SOOD, Sunshine set a course of a fast kite reach to Stokes Bay Central, a beat across the tide to Kemps Quay and a kite run home.

Royal Naval Sailing Association – Plymouth Branch Offshore Races 2019

Plymouth Branch organise 3 of the 5 races that make up the Ullman Sails Offshore Series organised by the Port of Plymouth Sailing Association. The races to St Peter Port, Roscoff and Dartmouth cater for both IRC and Port Handicap yachts racing under ORC Cat 3 regulations. Holt Cup 2019 Report

RN Inter-Region Team Racing The RN Inter Region Team Racing Championship took place last weekend in 2000s in Portsmouth Harbour. A total of 36 RN sailors in 9 teams turned out to compete in 2 days of intense competition run from the Royal Navy Sailing Centre (RNSC). Saturday morning began with a 2 hour postponement waiting for the wind which eventually filled in from the North East.

RNSA Windsurfers compete in First round of the 2019 UKWA slalom tour.

The RNS Windsurfers competed at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy in the first round of the UKWA Slalom tour. The wind conditions were light, but that didn't stop the Master Blaster series and allowed the foiling windsurfers to show their performance in the light winds.
