NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth that Surveying Operations and Maintenance Dredging will be conducted in the maintained areas within Portsmouth Harbour and its approach channels from 23 to 30 November 2019. 2. The contractor for the works will be Boskalis Westminster Ltd using the “plough” vessel “FASTNET SOUND” (LOA 27m) operating from 27 to 30 November and the "ARAMIS" carrying out survey operations throughout.

Portsmouth Branch Annual Review and Prizegiving

The Portsmouth Branch Annual Review and Prizegiving is being held at Hornet Services Sailing Club on the evening of Wednesday 27th November. The bar opens at 1800 and then we will move through into the Fabrosa Room for the Annual Review and Prizegiving before re-charging our glasses ahead of a buffer supper in the restaurant.

BRNC Team race in South America

Racing a J24 against 8 other Naval Delegations from around the world in Brazil and Chile. In Rio De Janeiro the team made a very good start and had a commanding lead at the first mark however, a bent spinnaker pole then caused a loss of down-wind speed, but they still managed a creditable 4th place.

RYA Youth Award for Milton Keynes sailor

A sailor from Deanshanger, near Milton Keynes, is to be presented with one of the Royal Yachting Association’s most prestigious awards by HRH the Princess Royal, President of the RYA.

RYA Awards for three Isle of Wight Sailors

Mary Lord from Yarmouth and Chris Wilkinson from Brading will each receive an RYA Lifetime Commitment Award, while Gail Willows of Cowes will receive an RYA Outstanding Commitment Award.
