Vela Tour of Britain 2019
A solo sailing round Britain in a little red boat with a supply of gin – what could possibly go wrong? Jill Rogers sailed around England this summer . Here are some extracts from her blog:
“My rough plan is to go clockwise around Britain. I’m aiming to stop at the following major points: Dartmouth, Falmouth, Penzance, Padstow, Milford Haven, Fishguard, Pwllheli, Menai Straits, Isle of Man, Bangor, West coast of Scotland, Caledonian Canal, Whitby, Lowestoft, Harwich, Ramsgate, Brighton and back to Gosport.

New boat boost for Ed
Promising Mid Wales sailor Ed Corbett will no longer have to collect a boat in midweek before weekend competitions, thanks to a national programme helping young talent progress in the sport.

RNSA Moorings Ltd update and request for volunteers
RNSA Moorings Ltd will replace PNMF early in the New Year as part of RNSA's continuing transition to CIO status. This new organisation is looking for a Non-Executive Director or 2 (unpaid) to help run it and volunteers are now being sought. Inteviews of selected applicants will likely occur in Jan Since the berth holders meeting on the 11 Oct and the EGM on 1 Nov, which saw a large majority support the transition of RNSA to a Charitable Incorporated organisation, we have received legal and financial advice that absolutely supports the plan for Portsmouth Moorings to become a Not for Profit Company (Limited by Guarantee).
