A Message from the Commodore
Incoming....... 1 June 2020
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is with great pleasure that I am able to write to you today as your new Commodore. Whilst my membership of the club has only been for the last few years, I was a regular visitor throughout my 36 years in the Royal Navy. I understand the Club’s importance to its members, to Service sailing, and to the local community.

Commodore’s Supercession
Rear Admiral Richard Stokes has taken over from Commodore Peter Wykeham-Martin as our Commodore, Hornet Service Sailing Club. There was very little ceremony and the passing on of the Commodore's burgee was achieved by use of boathooks in order to maintain social distance.
Personal from Peter Wykeham-Martin
Today I handed over the Commodore's burgee to Rear Admiral Richard Stokes - hanging it from a boathook to maintain social distancing!
Under normal circumstances I would have been able to thank you all personally at the AGM but that is not possible.
