Thanks to the Committee Members

Hello members,

I would like to express my admiration to our club committee members for their work in organising the club through this difficult time. For gathering all the information from authorities and then to passing it on to members, also an unused building does not look after itself.

It must have been difficult making decisions for the good of all.

Thank you from me and I am sure all members and their families.

Bernie Clark

Maintenance Hours Available

Hi All members, if you need work hours the mud rakes need attention, new rubbers and fixings to make them all serviceable.

Also the padlock holes on the North gate of the main compound do not line up fully, one of the gates needs adjusting out on the hinge bolts.

We also need someone to volunteer to cut the grass as an ongoing job. Yearly hours covered, machines are on site.

Let me know by email, maintenance_committee as usual first come first served.

Waiting for the Tide

You probably know the drill by now, attached is a new wordsearch for this week and the solution for last weeks one. This week the words are the fish, birds and mammals that can be seen around Langstone Harbour. All are on the Langstone Ark section of the Langstone Harbour Board website, but I have included the list on the sheet this week.

If anyone is still interested in a Virtual Regatta race or two let me know. I’m not convinced my messages on the system are getting through, and I certainly don’t seem to get notifications of messages or connection requests via email. With the easing of lockdown perhaps some are preferring to get out on the water, and there are only five potential sailors so far, but third time lucky! I am tentatively suggesting 6pm on Thursday 4th June.

As ever, feel free to drop me an email at this address if you feeling isolated and cut off from the world. It is always nice to hear from members, and any ideas of things to do would be most welcome.

Stay safe.

Useful Links

I thought it worth continuing to include a few useful links here as a handy place to find them if you haven’t already got them bookmarked:

It is probably also worth noting:
