2000 National Championships at Pwllheli Sailing Club

Natalie Roach (RN Dinghy Team Captain) & Alex Pickles (Sidekick & Crew) report. We secured the new LDC demo boat from RS Sailing and were extremely keen to race it competitively. Our only request to RS Sailing, and they did kindly oblige, was that the Navy girls would have a pink spinnaker! All packed and ready for some Welsh sunshine we towed the boat up through the Snowdonia Mountains in the National Park only to be met by a torrential down pour of rain! That evening a reception at the club house was hosted by the Mayor of Pwllheli and the Pwllheli Sailing Club Commodore.
