Following 7 Days of hard and close racing the RN team come out on top to beat the Army and Royal Air Force in this years SOR The Royal Navy Offshore Team have won this year’s inter Service Offshore Regatta following 7 days of hard racing inshore and offshore. The week started with HRH, The Princess Royal visiting the Hornet Services Sailing Club to mark the 50th anniversary of the Club and the start of the 2014 SOR.

Friday Evening Racing – Series 1

Race review and results This year’s Friday series got off to a good start in terms of numbers, albeit the weather was more than gentle with the comment on several occasions “gusting 1 knot, skipper!”

There were six entries on an evening that was for the most part dry, but threatening rain, little or no wind and the sea as flat as a millpond such that you could clearly see the massive jellyfish that are about this year.
