read all of it, as there is an important notice at the end.

Langstone Harbour Race Weekend – This Weekend!
The weekend is fast approaching and the event is really taking shape. The forecast is
looking really promising for the three days (yes I know I have just jinxed it!) with wind
conditions to suit all tastes.

wealth of goodies to be awarded as prizes. Our supporters include: Chris Hornsey

The event website is packed full of all the information you need, from the notice of
race and sailing instructions, to the event schedule / program.

There will be a curry night on Friday evening – and we would like to extend a
warm welcome to all club members to come down and enjoy the evening.

Gould Trophy Race – Lymington
The annual Gould Trophy race is due to take place this weekend. Please sign up on
the cruiser notice board if you wish to take part. The latest sailing instructions for the
event are attached to this TD. Please note the start line is out of the harbour and not
at ECA as stated in the club calendar.

There is also a sheet on the cruiser notice board which asks numbers for supper on
Saturday evening. David Whiting has reserved a table for 20 at the Mayflower, just
beside Lymington Town SC. He will phone numbers to the Mayflower on Thursday
morning so let him know if you change your mind after Thursday (cruisers@tudorsailing.org.uk).
It looks like a cold weekend at present. Brock is in Southsea for rubbing strake
and GRP repairs, red buoys litter the Solent!

Tidal Diamond No. 249 – Stranger in the Camp

Tidal Diamond No. 249

Stranger in the Camp

Please do not be too alarmed when you see the Fin Keeler “Little Madam” on its side on mooring 53 at LW. This boat has broken loose from the Langstone Harbour Deep moorings and was recovered by the Harbour Patrol boat during the strong winds yesterday. It remains where it is until the owners representatives recover it over the weekend. Thanks to Richard Calas, Richard Barnes, Derek Beaves and Steve Skinner who launched their boats today and whilst doing so, trawled through the moorings to check for any damage that may have been caused when “Little Madam” broke away from down harbour. Please all check your boats when next out to satisfy yourself that no damage has occurred. This reiterates once again the importance of ensuring moorings are up to specification. Cruiser Declarations
Ladies and Gents, the Cruiser Sailing Series is nearly upon us with less than 1 week before the start of the first Gales Series. To date, I have only received 6 completed declarations. Please could I ask all Cruiser Sailors, that are intending to race this season, to complete the attached form and either return it by email to myself, or the Sailing Secretary. If you have made any changes to your boat please complete all sections; if all is the same as last season could you just complete the “rig declaration” section detailing your rig preference for in and out of harbour races. The first race of the Gales Series is on the 30/04/12 so your prompt attention to this matter would be very much appreciated. Andy Healey – Cruiser Race Coordinator – Andy.Healey
